Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

There was a change at the Liga Ouro leadership position after last games. Round 4 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Campo Mourao (3-1). They were crushed by eighth ranked Rio Claro (1-3) 105-72 on Thursday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Campo Mourao. Rio Claro dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Campo Mourao's 24. They outrebounded Campo Mourao 38-20 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rio Claro shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Campo Mourao's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American Cameron Tatum (200-88, college: Tennessee) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Drew Maynard (200-89, college: Rochester, MI) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Wesley Russell (193-93, college: Ohio Christian) responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rio Claro left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Pato Basquete. Campo Mourao at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Londrina and Sao Paulo FC. They were replaced at the leadership position by Cerrado. Campo Mourao will play next round against strong Londrina trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Rio Claro will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Sao Paulo FC on the road.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Cerrado as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cerrado defeated 5th ranked UniFacisa at home 82-75. The winners were led by point guard Patrick Vieira (186-93) who scored that evening 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Danilo Sena supported him with 15 points and 5 assists. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by Wilmar Borges (200-93) did not help to save the game for UniFacisa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cerrado have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. UniFacisa at the other side keeps the fifth place with two games lost. UniFacisa will play next round against Pato Basquete trying to get back on the winning streak. Cerrado will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Undefeated Londrina (3-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourth ranked Sao Paulo FC on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Sao Paulo FC 67-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Londrina. Joao Vitor fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Gabriel De-Oliveira produced 18 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sao Paulo FC moved-up to second place, which they share with Campo Mourao and Londrina. Sao Paulo FC will meet at home Rio Claro (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Londrina will play against Campo Mourao (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
And what about another game where Pato Basquete (#8) beat bottom-ranked Blumenau by 30 points 101-71 on the road. It was a very good performance for Dominic Phillips who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Pato Basquete (1-3) left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Rio Claro. It was Blumenau's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Pato Basquete's next round opponent will be higher ranked UniFacisa (#5) and it may be quite challenging game. Blumenau will play against UniFacisa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
