The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Pinheiros as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pinheiros defeated 4th placed Mogi in Sao Paulo 78-71. It was a great evening for American point guard Kenny Dawkins (175-87, college: Lamar) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import guard Cordero Bennett (188-88) helped adding 17 points. The former international power forward Joao-Paulo Batista (205-81, college: Gonzaga) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Mogi lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Mogi will play next round against Botafogo F.R. trying to get back on the winning streak. Pinheiros will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Brasilia on the road.
Third ranked Flamengo (18-4) crushed at home 7th ranked Minas (10-14) by 22 points 82-60, which is the biggest margin this round. It was a quality performance for the former international guard Deryk Ramos (185-94) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 4 assists.
