Deryk Ramos
DERYK RAMOS

Former international Guard Deryk Ramos (185-G-94) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Flamengo, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, four rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Minas (#7, 10-14) with 22-point margin 82-60. Flamengo maintains the 3rd position in Brazilian NBB. They are still close to the very top. Flamengo would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 18-4 record. In the team's last game Ramos had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Deryk Ramos averages this season 8.0ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 36-year old former international guard Leandro Barbosa (190-G-82) of Minas. Barbosa had a very good evening with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Minas lost that game 60-82 to the higher-ranked Flamengo (#3, 18-4). Minas managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-14 record. Barbosa is a newcomer at Minas, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Kyle Fuller (185-PG-92) of Corinthians (#9). Fuller showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Fuller's great performance Corinthians lost 81-92 to slightly lower-ranked Bauru (#10, 8-13). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Corinthians ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Fuller could help Corinthians to bring them higher in the standings. Fuller has a great season in Brazil. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.9ppg (best scorer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Joao Paulo Batista (205-C/F-81) of Mogi - 18 points and 12 rebounds
5. Kenny Dawkins (175-PG-87) of Pinheiros - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists
6. Arthur Bernardi (206-F-90) of Botafogo F.R. - 15 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Caue Borges dos Santos (187-G-91) of Botafogo F.R. - 12 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Alex Garcia (191-G-80) of Bauru - 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Marquinhos Vieira (207-SF-84) of Flamengo - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Wesley Ferreira (201-PF-95) of Minas - 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
