Liga Ouro is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 7 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 7 in the Liga Ouro took place in . This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Pato Basquete (2-5) to fifth ranked Rio Claro (4-3) 82-80 on Monday evening. 28 personal fouls committed by Pato Basquete helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American point guard Korie Lucious (180-89, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Pedro Sousa (205-96) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Isaac Thornton (190-91, college: Fairmont St.) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rio Claro have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Pato Basquete at the other side dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Blumenau. Rio Claro is looking forward to face UniFacisa (#6) in the next round. Pato Basquete will have a break next round.
