The derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Campo Mourao (4-5) to seventh ranked Pato Basquete (3-5) 79-78 on Friday evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Campo Mourao helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Eric Soares (205-86) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Rafael Castellon (192-85) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Cesar Araujo (201-81) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds for Campo Mourao. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pato Basquete maintains seventh place with 3-5 record. Campo Mourao lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Rio Claro. Pato Basquete are looking forward to face league's second-placed Londrina at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Campo Mourao will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked UniFacisa (5-5) against fourth ranked Sao Paulo FC (5-3) on Saturday night. Visiting UniFacisa was defeated by Sao Paulo FC in a tough game in Sao Paulo 89-93. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of UniFacisa. American power forward Kyle Benjamin (206-91, college: Bridgeport) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Joao Vitor chipped in 22 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Nick Okorie (185-88, college: Texas Tech) with 31 points. UniFacisa's coach Eduardo Schafer rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sao Paulo FC moved-up to third place. UniFacisa at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Sao Paulo FC will play against league's leader Cerrado in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UniFacisa will have a break next round.

Rio Claro at the other side keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Cerrado's next round opponent will be Sao Paulo FC (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day.
