We bring you last week's top performances from Brazilians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced international point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, currently plays in Spain). He was the major contributor in Baskonia's victory against the sixth-ranked La ICL Manresa (16-14) 82-71 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Huertas scored 14 points and added 8 passes in 20 minutes on the court. Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria (23-6) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Huertas averages: 8.2ppg, 2.1rpg, 5.3apg, 2FGP: 55.6%(75-135), 3FGP: 40.4% and FT: 97.0%(32-33) in 30 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Italian. Huertas is currently a member of the Brazilian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Vitor Benite (192-90, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Burgos (13-17) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Benite's good performance Burgos was badly defeated 102-84 at home by the leading Real Madrid. He was the top scorer with 14 points. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Benite's first season with the team. Benite has relatively good stats this year: 11.7ppg, 2.1rpg, 2FGP: 50.7%, 3FGP: 43.6% and FT: 77.3%. He is in the roster of the Brazilian senior national team.

   #3. The Brazilian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Hatila Passos (211-85, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in Uruguay). He led Malvin to a victory against the fifth-ranked Urunday Universitario (2-3) 84-79 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB in Thursday night's game. Passos recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds. Malvin Montevideo (4-1) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. This season Passos has relatively solid stats: 10.8ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 61.0%(144-236) and FT: 71.7%. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Uruguayan. Former Paulistano/Unimed Sao Paolo starter played for the Brazilian national team nine years ago.

Forward Leonardo Demetrio (208-94, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a RETAbet BB's victory against one of league's weakest teams Barca II (9-25) 84-76 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. Demetrio recorded 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in a mere 18 minutes. RETAbet Bilbao Basket (24-10) is placed second in the LEB Gold. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Demetrio's overall stats are: 8.4ppg and 5.0rpg in 30 games. He used to play for the Brazilian national team back in 2016.

Lima was not able to help Burgos in their game against Real Madrid (24-5). He scored 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 14 minutes. Burgos was badly defeated 102-84 on their home court in Burgos by the leading Real Madrid. This year Lima's total stats are: 7.2ppg and 5.4rpg in 17 games. He plays currently for the Brazilian national team.

Point guard Rafael Freire Luz (188-92, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) managed to help MoraBanc Andorra to win against the closely-ranked Blusens Monbus (11-18) 91-72 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. Freire Luz scored only 3 points. MoraBanc Andorra (15-16) is placed tenth in the Liga Endesa. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Freire Luz has averaged so far 5.4ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Brazilian National Team roster.

   #7. Former international center Nene Hilario (211-82, currently plays in NBA) helped Houston Rockets win their game against the Golden State Warriors (57-25) 126-121 in the NBA last Saturday. Hilario has averaged so far 3.7ppg and 2.9rpg in 46 games. He used to play for the Brazilian national team three years ago.

Uchendu recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Leyma Basquet Coruna (14-20) is placed 12th in the LEB Gold. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Uchendu has averaged so far 7.1ppg and 6.3rpg. He plays currently for the Brazilian U21 national team.

Sena recorded 6 points. CB Prat was defeated 81-71 on the road by the much higher-ranked Oviedo_CB (#4). The Regular Season already ended. Sena has averaged so far 7.9ppg and 4.5rpg. He is a former U19 international player as six years ago he still played for the Brazilian national team.

   #11. Former international guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-94, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Castello in their game against Palma in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He recorded only 4 points and added 4 passes in 14 minutes. His team was edged 100-99. Fuzaro has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.6apg in 33 games. He used to play for the Brazilian national team two years ago.

   #1. Gabriel Da Silva (206-C-96, currently plays in Argentina) could not help Quimsa (7-1) in their last game. Despite Da Silva's good performance the league leader Quimsa was edged 86-83 at home by the league outsider (#20) Quilmes MP. He scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Da Silva's overall stats are: 2.5ppg and 1.9rpg in 27 games he played so far.

   #2. Ayan Carvalho (196-G/F-97, college: Temple, currently plays in Argentina) was the major contributor in a Deportivo Viedma's victory against the second-ranked Centro Espanol Plottier (16-10) 89-81 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) on Friday night. Carvalho recorded 18 points; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Deportivo Viedma Rio Negro (15-11) is placed fourth in South group. Carvalho's total stats this season are: 7.8ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Argentinian. Despite Carvalho's Brazilian passport, he previously played for the Argentinian university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Brazilian team.

   #3. Felipe Dos Anjos (218-C-98, currently plays in Spain) led Melilla Baloncesto to a victory over the closely-ranked Ourense (20-14) 69-63 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Friday night. Dos Anjos was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 10 rebounds. Dos Anjos also added 2 blocks in 25 minutes. Melilla Baloncesto (21-13) is placed fifth in the LEB Gold. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Dos Anjos has averaged so far 8.5ppg and 5.4rpg in 31 games.

   #4. Joao Gallina (192-SF-94, currently plays in Portugal) contributed to an easy victory against the second-ranked Esgueira / Oli (13-19) 91-72 in the Portuguese LPB in Wednesday night's game. He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 7-12. CAB Madeira (17-16) is placed first. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. Gallina has averaged so far 5.8ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.1spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Portuguese. Despite Gallina's Brazilian nationality, he previously played for the Portuguese U20 national team and probably cannot be called to the Brazilian team.

   #5. Victor Leal (204-PF-96, currently plays in Argentina) managed to help Comunicaciones Mercedes in a victory against the league leader San Lorenzo (29-5) 88-71 in the Argentinian La Liga in Friday night's game. Leal scored only 3 points in 9 minutes on the court. Comunicaciones Mercedes (20-15) is placed seventh in the La Liga. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Leal has averaged so far 4.0ppg and 2.0rpg in 11 games.

   #6. Pedro Ianguas (210-C-98, currently plays in Argentina) contributed to an Bahia Basket's surprising victory against the second-ranked Quimsa 69-53 in the Argentinian La Liga last Friday. He scored only one point. Ianguas has averaged so far 3.1ppg and 2.8rpg.

   #7. Feliciano Perez (210-C-90, currently plays in Argentina) was not able to help Centro Deportivo Rivadavia de Mendoza (12-14) in their last game. Despite Perez's very good performance the 13th-placed Centro Deportivo Rivadavia de Mendoza lost 67-82 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#5) Estudiantes Olavarria in the South group. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Perez also added 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in 29 minutes. Perez has averaged so far 9.3ppg and 7.4rpg in 29 games.

   #8. Experienced Matheus Maciel (207-C-1, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Unicaja-Andalucia in their game against Cordobasket in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. His team was edged 78-77. Maciel has averaged so far 7.8ppg and 5.9rpg.
