SJ Boa Vista - Sao Paulo FC 72-86

Sao Paulo snatched a road win over SJ Boa Vista in the opener. Sao Paulo FC outrebounded SJ Boa Vista 47-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. International forward Renan Lenz (206-90, college: Utah) stepped up and scored 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American guard Desmond Holloway (191-90, college: Coastal) chipped in 20 points. Four Sao Paulo FC players scored in double figures. At the losing side Evander Pereira (200-92) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and Jose-Mauro Barrozo (201-96) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Paulistano defeated Liga Sorocaba to take the lead. Paulistano outrebounded Liga Sorocaba 39-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American Dominique Coleman (198-88, college: Francis Marion) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Dikembe Andre (206-99) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Paulistano's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international power forward Murilo Becker (211-83) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Leonardo Eltink (193-95) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Liga Sorocaba.

Sao Jose knocked down Osasco on the road in Game 1. Sao Jose outrebounded Osasco B. 40-21 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds.
