Blackstar lands Jeferson Froehlich

Blackstar Basquete (CBC League) tabbed 28-year old point guard Jeferson Froehlich (193-91). He has played for the last two years at Basquete Joinville/AABJ in NBB. However his team was relegated to Liga Ouro. In 25 games he averaged 7.6ppg, 6.4rpg, 3.9apg and 2.3spg (leader !!!) last season. CBC League will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Latinbasket.com Brazilian League All-Defensive Team.
Among other achievements Froehlich played in the final of Brazilian Liga Ouro in 2017. He received also Latinbasket.com All-Liga Ouro Honorable Mention award in 2017.
Froehlich was a member of Brazilian U19 National Team back in 2009.
He has played previously professionally also in Spain (Real Madrid) and Brazil (Vivo/Franca, Liga Sorocaba, SKY/Basquete and Remo).
Let's have closer look into Froehlich's outlook: An extremely explosive guard, with great leaping ability that allows him to make thunderous dunks. Also, he's super quick and gives energy to the game running and creating fast break situations. A decent outside shooter, he's excellent attacking the rim and very aggressive driving to the basket or passing to a teammate near the basket. Still need to improve his game, however, as a PG he needs to understand how to control the game and choose better decisions during the game, and must improve his shot selection and his dribble.
