Scott Machado

   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Scott Machado (186-90, college: Iona, currently plays in Australia). He could not help Cairns Taipans (2-6) in their last game. Despite Machado's very good performance Cairns Taipans lost 79-85 on the road to the league outsider (#9) New Zealand Breakers. He had a double-double by scoring 25 points and making 12 passes. Machado also added 6 rebounds in 36 minutes on the court. It was Cairns Taipans' fourth consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Machado's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Machado averages: 17.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 9.8apg, 2FGP: 40.8%, 3FGP: 37.0% and FT: 78.3% in eight games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Machado played for the Brazilian senior national team three years ago. Strangely he has never played in Brazil.

Marcelinho Huertas

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, currently plays in Spain). Huertas was not able to help one of league's weakest teams CB Canarias in their game against Baskonia (17-5) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. He scored only 4 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 8 assists. CB Canarias was edged 81-79 in Vitoria by the higher-ranked Baskonia (#3). They ended the series of three consecutive victories. Huertas has relatively good stats this season: 12.5ppg, 2.2rpg, 6.3apg, 2FGP: 52.0%, 3FGP: 42.6% and FT: 88.4%. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Italian. Huertas played for the Brazilian national team in 2019.

Raul Neto

   #3. The Brazilian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international point guard Raul Neto (185-92, currently plays in NBA). Neto was not able to secure a victory for the Washington Wizards (6-15) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance the Washington Wizards (6-15) were crushed 119-97 in Charlotte by the Hornets. Neto scored 10 points. This season Neto has relatively solid stats: 8.1ppg, 1.8rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 51.6%, 3FGP: 39.6% and FT: 66.7%. He played for the Brazilian national team five years ago.

Augusto Lima

   #4. Center Augusto Lima (206-91, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help UCAM Murcia (8-13) in their game against Real Madrid (20-1) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Lima scored only 4 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 20 minutes. UCAM Murcia lost 87-98 in Madrid to the leading Real. It was UCAM Murcia's fifth consecutive loss in a row. This year Lima's overall stats are: 6.6ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg in 21 games. He used to play for the Brazilian national team back in 2019.

Caio Pacheco

   #5. International point guard Caio Pacheco (189-99, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Argentina) couldn't help Bahia (3-23) in their game against San Martin Corrientes (8-0) in the Argentinian La Liga. Despite his good performance on Monday night Pacheco was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 5 rebounds. The Regular Season already ended. Pacheco is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Bahia's roster. This season Pacheco has very high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg, 5.3rpg and 5.3apg. Pacheco plays currently for the Brazilian national team.

Leonardo Meindl

   #6. Small forward Leonardo Meindl (201-93, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in their game against Unicaja Malaga (10-12) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada was badly defeated 85-68 in Malaga by the lower-ranked (#9) Unicaja. He had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 11 rebounds. Da Silva also added 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in 36 minutes. The Stanford University has a solid 8-5 conference record this season. Da Silva is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Stanford's roster. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Da Silva averages: 19.4ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1bpg in 19 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: German and Brazilian. Despite Da Silva's Brazilian passport, he previously played for the German U19 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Brazilian team.

   #2. Romulo Gusmao (208-C-95, currently plays in Argentina) managed to help Ferrocarril Oeste in a victory against the 19th-ranked CA Platense (1-0) 67-62 in the Argentinian La Liga in Tuesday night's game. He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 13 minutes. Ferrocarril Oesteis placed third in South group. This year Gusmao's total stats are: 4.5ppg and 3.5rpg in 26 games.

   #3. Experienced Gabriel Novaes (208-C-1, currently plays in Argentina). He could not help Bahia (3-23) to beat San Martin Corrientes (8-0). Novaes scored 7 points, had 11 rebounds and made 2 blocks. The tenth-placed Bahia (3-23) was defeated 67-63 on the road by the lower-ranked San Martin Corrientes (#12) in the South group. It was Bahia's seventh consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Novaes' total stats this season are: 7.2ppg and 4.9rpg.

   #4. Tristan Da Silva (203-F-1, currently studies in the States) contributed to a 3-point Colorado's victory against the University of Arizona (9-2) 82-79 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Da Silva recorded 6 points. The University of Colorado has a solid 9-4 conference record this season. This year Da Silva averages only 1.5ppg. He is another player who holds two passports: German and Brazilian.

   #5. Maozinha Pereira (200-PF-0, currently plays in North Macedonia) was not able to help Crn Dream (1-13) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Pereira's good performance the bottom-ranked Crn Dream was defeated 84-80 at home by the higher-ranked MZT Skopje II (#10). He recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. Pereira also added 3 blocks. Pereira's stats this season are: 10.6ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.3spg.

   #6. Felipe Dos Anjos (218-C-98, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Bilbao in their game against FC Barcelona in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Dos Anjos cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points. His team was badly defeated by 17 points 90-73. Dos Anjos has averaged so far 3.1ppg and 3.4rpg.

   #7. Rafael Rodrigues (214-PF-1, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Science City Jena's victory against one of league's weakest teams Phoenix Hagen 87-82 in the German ProA (second division) last Saturday. Rodrigues scored only 2 points in 2 minutes on the court. This year Rodrigues averages just 0.7ppg in three games.

   #8. Guilherme de Souza (185-G-84, currently plays in Finland) couldn't help Westside ET in their game against PeU-Basket in the Finnish 1st Division (second division). He recorded 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team was edged 60-59. de Souza has averaged so far 7.7ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.6apg.

   #9. Leonardo Colimerio (201-G/F-1, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the Fresno St. in their game against the Utah State University in the NCAA.
