Murilo Becker claims Brazilian CBC League weekly honour- February 27, 2021
The 37-year old had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Joinville in his team's victory, helping them to beat Londrina (#6, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 76-64. Joinville is placed at 3rd position in Brazilian CBC League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Joinville will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Becker just recently signed at Joinville, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Becker has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 16.7ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 11.0rpg) and averages solid 54.8% FGP. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 32-year old Argentinian point guard Enzo Cafferata (186-PG-88) of second-ranked Corinthians. Cafferata impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Corinthians lost that game 89-94 to Ponta Grossa (3-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Cafferata is one of the most experienced players at Corinthians and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.3ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 7.3rpg and 6.0apg. The third best performed player last round was another Corinthians' star - Rafael Paulichi (201-PF-98). Paulichi scored 23 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Corinthians, helping his team with a 70-65 win against Londrina (#6, 0-3). Corinthians needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Helio Rubens Garcia Conference. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Paulichi has a great season in Brazil. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 10.0rpg (5th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. Kevin Nascimento (185-PG-92) of Brusque - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists 5. Bruno Crocetta (198-SF-87) of Maringa - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists 6. Leonardo Bispo (206-F/C-96) of Ponta Grossa - 21 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists 7. Emanuel Matias (198-SF-99) of Joinville - 13 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists 8. Caio Oliveira (211-C-98) of Londrina - 20 points and 10 rebounds 9. Felipin Silva (198-G-98) of Brusque - 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists 10. Samuel Ferreira (187-SG-99) of Ponta Grossa - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
