Jose Mauro Barrozo
24-year old power forward Jose Mauro Barrozo (201-PF-96) had a great game in the last round for Blackstar and receives a Interperformances CBC League Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Vila Nova/AEGB (#6, 1-7) 76-70. Blackstar maintains the 5th position in their group in Brazilian CBC League. Blackstar is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-5 record. Barrozo turned to be Blackstar's top player in his first season with the team. Barrozo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 12.0ppg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 54.1% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Douglas Correa (204-F/C-91) of Botafogo. He is a forward in his first season at Botafogo. In the last game Correa recorded impressive 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Botafogo to edge slightly lower-ranked Anapolis (#4, 3-5) by 4 points 90-86. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Gerson Victalino Conference. Botafogo consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 5-3 record is not bad at all. Correa is one of the most experienced players at Botafogo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.4ppg (#5). He also registered 5.0 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Alef Alves (185-G-95) of Anapolis (#4). Alves scored 21 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Alves' great performance Anapolis lost 86-90 to #3 ranked Botafogo. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Anapolis not to end season at such low position in Gerson Victalino Conference, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Alves could try to bring Anapolis' a little bit higher in the standings. Alves has individually a great season in Brazil. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.1ppg (2nd best). He also has 2.5spg and FGP: 57.0%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
