Brazilian CBC League round 8 best performance: Ralfi Ansaloni

Center Ralfi Ansaloni (211-C-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Corinthians, receiving a Hoops Agents CBC League Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed Joinville (#3, 4-3) with 29-point margin 86-57. It allowed Corinthians to take over top position in the Brazilian CBC League. Corinthians have a solid 6-1 record. Ansaloni just recently signed at Corinthians, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ralfi Ansaloni averages this season 16.5ppg and 10.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Rafael Santos (200-F-99) of Londrina. Santos had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Londrina to another comfortable win 80-67 over slightly higher-ranked Brusque (#4, 3-4) being unquestionably team leader. Despite this victory Londrina slide down in the standings to 5th position in Helio Rubens Garcia Conference. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Londrina managed to get this year. Santos is one of the most experienced players at Londrina and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Rodrigo Silva (207-C-87) of Brusque (#4). Silva scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Silva's great performance Brusque lost 67-80 to slightly lower-ranked Londrina (#5, 2-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Brusque ranking at the top of Helio Rubens Garcia Conference, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Silva could help Brusque to bring them higher in the standings. Silva has a great season in Brazil. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 10.8ppg (5th best).
