Maxwell Dias
Maxwell Dias (198-SF-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Ponta Grossa, receiving a Hoops Agents CBC League Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (15 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Londrina (#4, 4-6) 73-66. Ponta Grossa maintains the 2nd position in their group in Brazilian CBC League. They are still close to the very top. Ponta Grossa would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. Dias just recently signed at Ponta Grossa, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Maxwell Dias averages this season 7.1ppg.
The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Patrick Vieira (186-PG-93) of Joinville. Vieira had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 13 assists. It was enough for Joinville to edge slightly lower-ranked Brusque (#5, 3-7) 85-84. Joinville's 3rd position in Helio Rubens Garcia Conference has not changed. His team's 6-4 record is not bad at all. Vieira is one of the most experienced players at Joinville and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.5ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 6.0rpg and 5.5apg.
Third on the list of top players last round was center Caio Oliveira (211-C-98) of Londrina (#4). Oliveira scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Oliveira's great performance Londrina lost 66-73 to #2 ranked Ponta Grossa. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Londrina ranking at the top of Helio Rubens Garcia Conference, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Oliveira could help Londrina to bring them higher in the standings. Oliveira has a very solid season. In 10 games in Brazil he scored 9.4ppg. He also has 6.9rpg, 1.9bpg and FGP: 59.4%.
Other top performing players last week:
4. Erike Lima (202-PF-99) of Maringa - 22 points and 7 rebounds
5. Matheus Vicente (191-G-99) of Brusque - 17 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Raul De Paula (215-C-90) of Brusque - 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
