Joinville beat Vila Nova to enter the next round. Joinville made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Joinville outrebounded Vila Nova/AEGB 37-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Vila Nova/AEGB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Lucas Campos (190-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Willian Moreira (190-92) contributed with 27 points and 4 steals for the winners. Joinville's coach Guilherme Roma used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Guilherme Bento (195-97) answered with 16 points and 7 assists and point guard Julius Borges (180-89) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Vila Nova/AEGB.
