We bring you last week's top performances from Brazilians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
#1. This week's number one is former international small forward
Bruno Caboclo (206-95, currently plays in France). He could not help
Limoges CSP Elite (3-1) in their last game. Despite Caboclo's good performance the league leader Limoges CSP Elite lost
74-82 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#9) Entente Orleans 45.
He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Caboclo also added 5 rebounds in 23 minutes on the court.
Caboclo has relatively good stats this year: 13.9ppg, 5.7rpg, 2FGP: 58.7%(27-46), 3FGP: 44.7% and FT: 74.1% in nine games he played so far.
He played for the Brazilian senior national team two years ago.
#2. Second place goes to former international point guard
Raul Neto (185-92, currently plays in NBA). Neto was not able to help the
Washington Wizards (34-38) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance the Washington Wizards (34-38) were defeated
120-116 in Atlanta by the Hawks.
Neto scored 14 points.
His team will play only one more game in the NBA Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
This season Neto has relatively solid stats: 8.7ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.3apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 51.2%, 3FGP: 39.0% and FT: 88.2%.
He played for the Brazilian national team in 2016.
#3. The Brazilian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U19 international forward
Dimitris Sousa (198-94, college:
UVA Wise, currently plays in Italy). Sousa was not able to secure a victory for
Avellino (8-14) in their game against R.Calabria (7-15) in the Italian Serie B (third division), despite his very good performance on Sunday night.
He was the top scorer with 17 points. Sousa also added 6 rebounds in 29 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. But the 12th-placed Avellino (8-14) lost
64-78 in Reggio Calabria to the lower-ranked (#13) R.Calabria in the Group D.
Sousa has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 54.5%, 3FGP: 31.9% and FT: 72.6% in 22 games.
Sousa has a dual citizenship: Greek and Brazilian.
He played for the Brazilian U19 national team twelve years ago.
#4. Center
Cristiano Felicio (206-92, college:
Oregon, currently plays in NBA) managed to help Chicago Bulls in a victory against the Milwaukee Bucks (46-26)
118-112 in the NBA last Sunday.
He scored 5 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 18 minutes.
The Chicago Bulls have 31-41 record this season.
The Regular Season already ended in the NBA.
This year Felicio's overall stats are: 1.3ppg and 1.4rpg in 18 games.
He used to play for the Brazilian national team
back in 2019.
#5. Former international swingman
Didi Louzada (198-99, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the
New Orleans Pelicans (31-41) in their game against the Golden State Warriors (39-33) in the NBA.
Louzada recorded 6 points.

#7. Former international guard
Scott Machado (186-90, college:
Iona, currently plays in Australia) couldn't help
Cairns Taipans (7-22) in their game against Melbourne Phoenix (17-14) in the Australian NBL.
He scored 9 points in 21 minutes.
But the bottom-ranked Cairns Taipans were crushed
106-77 in Melbourne by the higher-ranked (#3) Phoenix.
It was Cairns Taipans' fourth consecutive loss in a row.
Machado has very impressive stats this year: 15.5ppg, 3.4rpg and 6.9apg in 28 games.
He is a naturalized American.

#8. An experienced center
Anderson Varejao (211-82, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the
Cleveland Cavaliers (22-50) in their game against the Washington Wizards (34-38) in the NBA. Varejao cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones.
He recorded only 3 points in 5 minutes on the court.

The list of other players, who all have Brazilian passport but never been selected to any of Brazilian national teams: #1. Felipe Dos Anjos (218-C-98, currently plays in Spain). Dos Anjos could not help
Bilbao (8-25) to beat Gran Canaria (13-17).
He scored 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Bilbao was crushed

#2. Experienced
Maozinha Pereira (200-PF-0, currently plays in North Macedonia) was not able to help
Crn Dream (2-20) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Crn Dream was defeated
91-78 on the road by the higher-ranked Kozuv (#9).
Pereira was the top scorer with 25 points. He also added 9 rebounds.

#3. Thiago Makhlouf (210-C-87, currently plays in Lebanon) was not able to secure a victory for
Sagesse (6-4) in their last game on Monday. Despite Makhlouf's good performance Sagesse was crushed
94-64 in a derby game by the leading Al Riyadi.
He was the second best scorer with 13 points. Makhlouf also added 5 rebounds.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.
Makhlouf's total stats this season are: 8.0ppg and 6.0rpg.
He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Lebanese.
#4. Bruno Duranti (197-F-93, currently plays in Italy) contributed to
Taranto's victory against the 11th-ranked Senigallia (9-11)
87-74 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night.
Duranti recorded 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Cus Jonico Basket Taranto (19-3) is placed second in Group D.
Duranti has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.5apg.
He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Italian.
Despite Duranti's Brazilian nationality, he previously played for the Italian U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Brazilian team.
#5. Andre Coimbra (205-PF-86, college:
CMU, currently plays in Argentina) managed to help Salta Basket in a victory against the third-ranked Union SF (14-7)
77-70 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) in Monday night's game.
Coimbra scored only 2 points in 15 minutes.
Salta Basket (12-6) is placed fifth in Conferencia Norte.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important.
Coimbra has averaged so far 9.4ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.4apg in 14 games he played so far.
#6. Tim Soares (211-C-97, college:
Master's, currently plays in Turkey) led
Samsun to a victory against the eighth-ranked Manisa
73-65 in the Turkish TBL (second division) last Monday.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 11 rebounds.
Soares' stats this season are: 14.0ppg, 9.2rpg and 1.6apg.
He is a naturalized American.
Apparently Soares has never played in Brazil.
#7. Renato Ribeiro (190-F-95, currently plays in Portugal) couldn't help
Sanjoanense in their game against Illiabum in the Portuguese Proliga (second division). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones.
Ribeiro scored only 2 points in 19 minutes.
His team lost
69-81.
Ribeiro has averaged so far 5.0ppg and 2.0rpg in 10 games.
#8. Claudio Negri (197-SF-85, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a 3-point
Oleggio's victory against the 13th-ranked Cecina
50-47 in the Italian Serie B (third division) in Monday night's game.
