Ponta Grossa - Botafogo 72-73

Botafogo nipped Ponta Grossa to even the series at 1-1. Botafogo forced 19 Ponta Grossa turnovers. Ponta Grossa was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Italian point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-84) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Botafogo's coach Joao Guia allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Nathanael Nascimento (188-94) responded with 13 points and 6 assists and Maxwell Dias (198-91) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Ponta Grossa players scored in double figures.

Joinville outscored Blumenau to force the decider. 24 personal fouls committed by Blumenau helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Lucas Campos (190-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Willian Moreira (190-92) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Deonta Stocks (185-88, college: UWG) replied with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Joao Pedro Demetrio (208-95) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Blumenau. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Osasco eased past Londrina to sweep the series. Osasco outrebounded Londrina 46-26 including 19 on the offensive glass. Center Gabriel Da Silva (206-96) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and guard Gustavo Scaglia (193-93, college: Arizona W. CC) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by center Caio Oliveira (211-98) did not help to save the game for Londrina. Guard Jackson Da Silva (192-96) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Coritnthians topped Brusque to reach the semifinal stage. Corinthians looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Brusque's players. Point guard Icaro Parisotto (185-92, college: SDCC) notched 16 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and Rafael Paulichi (201-98) supported him with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Corinthians' coach Athos Calderaro used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even 17 points and 7 rebounds by Gabriel Vargas (194-98) did not help to save the game for Brusque. Naturalized American point guard Kevin Nascimento (185-92, college: Fisher) added 12 points and 4 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
