Franca defeated Country in Sao Paulo 67-53. Franca had a 35-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Reynan Santos (192-4) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Franca's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Matheus Bonfim (204-99) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
An interesting game took place in Pato Branco where Pato (0-2) was upset on its own court by Uniao Corinthians (1-2) 78-57. It was an exceptional evening for center Vinicius Malachias (209-99) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. Salatiel Dal accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds. Gabriel Furlan (-4) came up with 21 points and 4 assists for Pato in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
