Andre's 19 points and 8 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

22-year old center Dikembe Andre (206-C-99) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Pinheiros and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 19 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Pinheiros in his team's victory, helping them to crush Praia (#6, 1-1) with 25-point margin 100-75. Pinheiros is placed at 2nd position in Brazilian league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Pinheiros already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Andre has many years of experience at Pinheiros, through which he has constantly improved. Andre has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 1.3bpg and 72.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Andre Abreu (212-C-02) of Paulistano. He is a center in his first (recently joined) season at Paulistano. In the last game Abreu recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Paulistano to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Caxias do Sul (#7, 1-4) 84-24. Despite this victory Paulistano slide down in the standings to 3rd position in Group A. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Abreu is one of the most experienced players at Paulistano and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Yago Rodrigues (208-C-01) of Campo Mourao (#11). Rodrigues scored 16 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Rodrigues' great performance Campo Mourao lost 51-85 to the league's current leader Franca (#1, 5-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Rodrigues has individually a great season in Brazil. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.4rpg (9th best).
