LDB U20 Round 6: Cerrado is defeated by Flamengo

The most surprising game was the first loss of Cerrado (2-1) in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by tenth ranked Flamengo (1-2) 94-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cerrado. They outrebounded Cerrado 43-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Flamengo looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Power forward Ruan Miranda (205-1) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Matheus Maciel (207-1) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Sergio Conceicao (208-0) with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Cerrado's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Flamengo left bottom position moving up to seventh place. Cerrado at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Mogi. Country has finally registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses.
