Rio Claro - Bauru 84-77 The game between Top Four teams took place in Sao Paulo. Third ranked host Rio Claro (6-3) defeated one of their biggest challengers Bauru (5-4) 84-77. Rio Claro forced 19 Bauru turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Luis Miguel Silva (185-0) who helped to win the game recording 26 points (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Bruno Santilli (190-0) who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Rio Claro's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Igor Araujo (193-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and Danilo Penteado (200-99) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rio Claro maintains third position with 6-3 record having five points less than leader Pinheiros. Bauru at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. Rio Claro are looking forward to face Mogi (#9) in Mogi das Cruze in the next round where they are favorite.
