LDB U20 Round 1 (Second Stage): Corinthians lose to Franca

The Second Stage in LDB U20 just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game of round 1 took place in Sao Paulo where Franca crushed Corinthians 79-56 on Monday night. Franca dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Corinthians' 26. Franca forced 19 Corinthians turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. International power forward Marcio Santos (204-2) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Adyel Pereira (188-2) chipped in 21 points. At the losing side swingman Pedro Nunes (197-0) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Corinthians will play next round against strong Pinheiros trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
