Figueroa comes back to Rio Claro

Rio Claro Basquete (Paulista) added to their roster experienced 35-year old Argentinian ex-international point guard Juan Pablo Figueroa (185cm, agency: Interperformances). It is actually his comeback to Rio Claro as he has played here before. Figueroa played last season at VIPTech Campo Mourao Basquet in CBC League. He helped his team get promotion to NBB. In 23 games he recorded 5.4ppg, 2.4rpg, 5.3apg and 1.0spg previous season. Paulista will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
Figueroa was also a member of Argentinian international program for some years. He played for Argentinian Senior National Team between 2009 and 2014 and previously for U21 National Team between 2004 and 2005.
Figueroa also represented Argentina at the South American Championships in Isla Margarita (Venezuela) seven years ago. Figueroa's team won Silver and his stats at that event were 5 games: 1.4ppg, 1.4rpg, 2.4apg.
He has played also professionally in Brazil (Vivo/Franca and Pinheiros), Argentina (Atenas, Penarol, Olimpico and Comunicaciones) and Peru (Club Grau).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Argentinian La Liga Semifinals in 2019. Figueroa was voted to Brazilian All-Star Game between 2011 and 2012.
