The list of other players, who all have Brazilian passport but never been selected to any of Brazilian national teams: #1. Oscar Da Silva (206-PF-98, college: Stanford, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an ALBA Berlin's surprising victory against the sixth-ranked Maccabi Tel-Aviv (7-5) 91-86 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Da Silva scored 8 points and had 3 steals. ALBA Berlin (4-8) is placed 14th in the Euroleague. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. It's Da Silva's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.2spg. Da Silva has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and German. Despite his Brazilian passport, Da Silva previously played for the German U19 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Brazilian team. #2. Experienced Tristan Da Silva (203-F-1, currently plays college basketball in the States) led Colorado to a victory against the Stanford University (0-1) 80-76 in the NCAA in Sunday night's game. Da Silva scored 13 points and added 4 passes. The University of Colorado has 1-0 conference record this season. There are only four games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Da Silva's overall stats this season are: 8.9ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.9apg. He is another player who holds two passports: German and Brazilian. Despite Da Silva's Brazilian nationality, he currently plays for the German U20 national team and cannot be called to the Brazilian team. #3. Nick Silva (201-F, currently plays in NCAA2) contributed to a Francis Marion University's victory against the University of Mount Olive 84-74 in the NCAA2 in Tuesday night's game. Silva scored 17 points and added 3 assists in 32 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. The Francis Marion University has record this season. This year Silva's overall stats are: 9.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.6apg in five games he played so far. #4. Leonardo Colimerio (201-G/F-1, currently studies in the States) helped Fresno St. win their game against the Santa Clara University 59-52 in the NCAA last Wednesday. He recorded 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Fresno State University has 2-4 overall record this season. Colimerio's overall stats this year are: 5.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg. #5. Lazaro Rojas (211-F-96, is currently at the American university), who plays in the NCAA could not help the UT Arlington to beat the Utah State University. Rojas recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The UT Arlington (#6) was badly defeated 80-61 at home by the Utah State University. Rojas' total stats this season are: 4.0ppg and 2.8rpg. #6. Victor Demetrio (206-F-95, college: OVU, currently plays in Germany) managed to help Ebbecke White Wings Hanau to win against the 12th-ranked Bayern 76-74 in the German ProB (third division) on Saturday night. Demetrio scored only 3 points. Demetrio has averaged so far 4.8ppg and 6.0rpg. He has both Italian and Brazilian nationalities. #7. Pedro Ribeiro (187-F-2, currently plays in Portugal) was not able to help Electrico FC in their game against Maia Basket in the Portuguese Proliga (second division). Ribeiro cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points in 12 minutes. His team was crushed by 24 points 81-57. This year Ribeiro averages just 5.0ppg in seven games. #8. Luiz Machado Jr. (198-F, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NAIA was not able to secure a victory for the Southwestern Christian University in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance his team was crushed 87-58 on the road by the Nicholls State University. Machado Jr. recorded 10 points and added 3 assists. This season Machado Jr. averages only 5.0ppg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Machado Jr. has never played in Brazil. #9. Claudio Negri (197-SF-85, currently plays in Italy) helped Oleggio edge the sixth-ranked Livorno Libertas 73-71 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Saturday night. He had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. Negri also added 4 assists in 32 minutes. This year Negri has relatively solid stats: 10.7ppg, 6.7rpg and 2.3apg in nine games. He also holds two passports: Brazilian and Italian.
