Matheus Varela (ex Gaia) agreed terms with Municipal

Club Municipal (Carioca) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old Brazilian 198cm guard Matheus Varela. The last time (19-20) he played at Gaia in Portuguese 1.Divisao. Varela missed last season due to covid-19 restrictions and had longer break from professional basketball.
He has played previously for two other teams: Botafogo and Flamengo.
His team was regular season runner-up in Brazilian LDB U20 League in 2018.
