Olympico Club (Mineira) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 41-year old 201cm forward Fernando Alvim for season 2022. Alvim played recently at Contagem Towers in Brazilian Liga Ouro. He missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball.
Alvim has spent his entire career in Brazil playing for eight other teams: Flamengo, Londrina, Ginastico, Minas, Tijuca TC, Araraquara, Winner/Limeira and Macae.
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in Brazilian Liga Ouro in 2017. He was also voted to Latinbasket.com All-Liga Ouro Forward of the Year back in 2016.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Olympico Club.
