Universo/Vitoria Salvador (NBB) inked experienced 38-year old 195cm small forward Edu de Oliveira (college: EOSC). It is actually his comeback to Universo/Vitoria as he has played here before. The last time (2020) he played at Basquete Osasco / FAE in Brazilian CBC League. de Oliveira missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball.
He has spent his entire career in Brazil playing for eight other teams: Paulistano, Araraquara, Espirito Santo, Liga Sorocabana de Basquete, Campo Mourao, Linense, Fortaleza and Lins.
de Oliveira is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Vitoria.
He graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 2004 and it will be his 18th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
