Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Flamengo (3-1) in Rio de Janeiro on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by leader Praia (4-0) 63-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Flamengo. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Praia forced 21 Flamengo turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Guilherme Estevao (204-2000) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Alexsander Vernizz (183-2000) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side power forward Rafael Rachel (205-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 19 rebounds. Flamengo's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Praia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Flamengo at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost.
Very significant was Sao Paulo's (#5) 76-65 road victory against 7th ranked Mogi. It was an exceptional evening for center Matheus Maciel (207-2001) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Beto Fagundes accounted for 7 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Leandro Moura (190-2001) came up with 15 points and 4 assists for Mogi in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sao Paulo maintains fifth place with 3-2 record, which they share with Caxias do Sul. Mogi at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.

They moved-up to second place. Loser Minas dropped to the sixth position with two games lost.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 7: Flamengo destroyed Brasilia on the opponent's court 102-58. Campo Mourao managed to outperform Brasilia in a home game 65-64. Pinheiros rolled over Pato on the road 83-40. Winless UniFacisa was crushed by Sao Jose on its own court 39-90. Winless UniFacisa lost to undefeated Pinheiros in Sao Paulo 45-88. Sao Paulo destroyed Pato at home 85-63. Mogi unfortunately lost to Sao Jose on the opponent's court 72-84.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 27 points by Joao Moda of Sao Jose.



Brasilia - Flamengo 58-102

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Brasilia (0-4) was crushed at home by first ranked Flamengo (3-1) 102-58 on Thursday. Flamengo forced 21 Brasilia turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Brasilia's players. Forward Emanuel Fernandes (197-2003) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Renato Nascimento (195-2004) chipped in 15 points. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. Forward Carlos Silva (196-2003) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and Allan Brito (-2003) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flamengo have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory Flamengo went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Brasilia still closes the standings with four games lost.
