Pedro Rodrigues
Talented Pedro Rodrigues (175-PG-2000) had a great game in the last round for Sao Paulo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 22-year old playmaker had a double-double of 36 points and eleven rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Brasilia (#10, 0-8) with 67-point margin 120-53. Sao Paulo is placed at 3rd position in Brazilian LDB U20. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Sao Paulo will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Rodrigues had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got eight three-pointers out of 14 attempts. He turned to be Sao Paulo's top player in his first season with the team. Rodrigues has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 3.2rpg) and averages solid 70.0% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Ruan Miranda (205-C/F-2001) of second-ranked Cerrado. Miranda impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds. It was enough for Cerrado to edge slightly lower-ranked Corinthians (#3, 5-2) by 1 point 71-70. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Cerrado consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 6 matches. Miranda is a newcomer at Cerrado and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.7ppg (#4). He also registered 11.8 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was Gabriel Camargo (194-G-2001) of Uniao Corinthians (#11). Camargo scored 25 points and grabbed five rebounds. Despite Camargo's great performance Uniao Corinthians lost 52-68 to the higher-ranked Franca (#4, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Uniao Corinthians can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B. They have rather bad season and 1-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Camargo he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Camargo has individually a great season in Brazil. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.2ppg (6th best). He also has 2.8spg and FGP: 61.4%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
