Miranda's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

21-year old Ruan Miranda (205-C/F-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Cerrado and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Franca (#8, 4-5) 91-81. Cerrado maintains the 2nd position in their group in Brazilian league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Cerrado will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Miranda had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Cerrado's top player in his first season with the team. Miranda has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 11.2rpg) and averages solid 1.3bpg and 67.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Felipe Cardoso (211-C-2000) of Bauru. He is a center in his first season at Bauru. In the last game Cardoso recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 25 rebounds. Of course he led Bauru to another comfortable win 72-54 over the lower-ranked Uniao Corinthians (#11, 1-8) being unquestionably team leader. Bauru's 4th position in Group B has not changed. His team's 5-4 record is not bad at all. Cardoso is a newcomer at Bauru and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Leonardo Cravero (200-SF-2002) of Cearense (#5). Cravero scored 26 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Cearense, leading his team to a 78-68 win against the lower-ranked Coritiba (#9, 4-5). Cearense needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group B. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Cravero has a very solid season. In 9 games in Brazil he scored 16.2ppg. He also has 8.8rpg and FGP: 51.6%.
