Ponta Grossa Basquete (Parana) strengthened their roster with addition of 22-year old guard Igor Araujo (193cm-87kg-1999) for season 2022-23. Araujo played this summer at Liga Sorocabana de Basquete in the Paulista. In 8 games just recently he recorded 4.5ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.4apg. Parana will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. The last season he played at Paschoalotto/Bauru (NBB). Paulista was a little too high level for him, where in 27 NBB games he averaged only 1.7ppg and 1.0rpg.
He has played previously for two other teams: Palmeiras and Sao Paulo. His team made it to the Paulista League Semifinals in 2020 and 2021.
