   #1. This week's number one is former international center Cristiano Felicio (206-1992, college: Oregon, currently plays in Spain). Felicio led Granada to a victory over the closely-ranked Bilbao (2-1) 99-84 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Felicio recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists; not bad, considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Coviran Granada (3-1) is placed third in the Liga Endesa. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Felicio has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.8ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 55.3%(21-38) and FT: 75.0%. Former Clube de Regatas do Flamengo starter played for the Brazilian senior national team year ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-1983, currently plays in Spain). Huertas contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Obradoiro (0-3) 86-67 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Saturday night. He recorded 9 points and added 4 passes in 20 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Lenovo Tenerife (4-0) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Huertas' overall stats are: 7.8ppg, 1.5rpg, 5.0apg, 2FGP: 48.0% in four games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Italian. Huertas played for the Brazilian national team in 22.

He contributed to Unicaja's victory against one of league's weakest teams Girona (0-4) 73-59 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Lima recorded 7 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and made 3 blocks. Unicaja Malaga (2-1) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Lima's total stats this season are: 5.3ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.8apg, 1.3bpg. He played for the Brazilian national team year ago.

   #4. Small forward Leonardo Meindl (201-1993, currently plays in EuroCup) could not help Cluj Napoca (0-1) in their last game. Despite Meindl's very good performance Cluj Napoca was edged 88-85 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) JL Bourg. He was the top scorer with 19 points. Meindl also added 7 rebounds in 31 minutes. It was his first game for Cluj Napoca this season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Meindl used to play for the Brazilian national team back in 22.

Former international shooting guard Vitor Benite (194-1990, agency: Pro Sports, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Herbalife Gran Canaria to win against the eighth-ranked Rio Breogan (2-2) 71-53 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. He recorded only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was his first game for Gran Canaria this season. His team is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Benite used to play for the Brazilian national team years ago.

   #6. Forward Kayo Goncalves (203-1999, college: USA, currently plays in Slovakia) was not able to help Iskra Svit (1-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Iskra Svit lost 100-106 on the opponent's court to the much higher-ranked Levice. Goncalves had a double-double by scoring 33 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 4 blocks in 47 minutes. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Goncalves has very impressive stats this year: 17.3ppg, 11.0rpg, 1.3apg, 1.3bpg and 2.5spg in four games. He is a former U17 international player as he played for the Brazilian team year ago.

Former international center Tim Soares (211-1997, college: Master's, currently plays in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for Kings (4-1) in their game against Cairns Taipans (3-1) in the Australian NBL. Soares scored 9 points, had 5 rebounds and made 4 blocks. But the league leader Kings were defeated 83-78 in Cairns by the lower-ranked Taipans (#4). But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Soares' total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.8bpg and 1.4spg. He is a naturalized American. Soares used to play for the Brazilian national team years ago. Strangely he has never played in Brazil.

   #8. Point guard Yago Matheus (175-1999, currently plays in EuroCup) contributed to a 1-point ratiopharm Ulm's victory against the tenth-ranked Venezia (0-1) 81-80 in the Eurocup on Tuesday night. Matheus recorded 10 points and added 3 assists in 18 minutes. It was his first game for ratiopharm Ulm this season. His team is placed second in the Eurocup. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Matheus used to play for the Brazilian national team back in 22.

Former U17 international swingman Fernando Salsamendi (194-1996, college: Ave Maria, currently plays in Lithuania) was the main contributor in Delikatesas' victory against the 12th-ranked Mazeikiai (1-3) crushing them 89-65 in the Lithuanian NKL (second division) on Saturday night. He was the best player in that game. Salsamendi recorded 29 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks. Delikatesas Joniskis (1-2) is placed eighth in the NKL. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This season Salsamendi has very high stats. He averages: 21.7ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.0apg and 2.3spg. Salsamendi used to play for the Brazilian U17 national team years ago.

He scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 16 minutes. Movistar Estudiantes Madrid (2-1) is placed fourth in the LEB Gold. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Demetrio's total stats are: 5.0ppg and 4.0rpg in three games. He is a former international player as years ago he still played for the Brazilian senior national team.

   #11. Former international point guard Rafael Luz (186-1992, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Albacete crushing them 93-63 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Saturday night. Luz scored only one point, had 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 20 minutes. Luz has averaged so far 2.7ppg, 4.7rpg and 4.7apg in three games. He used to play for the Brazilian national team years ago.

   #12. Former U19 international center Felipe Braga (213-1994, currently plays in France) couldn't help Rueil (3-2) in their last game on Friday. Despite his good performance the sixth-placed Rueil was defeated 87-77 at home by the lower-ranked Vendee Challans (#7) in the Group A. Braga scored 10 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, passed 3 assists and added 2 blocks. Braga has averaged so far 7.2ppg and 6.4rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian U19 national team back in 13.

   #13. Former international forward Marcus Vinicius (201-1986, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a 1-point Valls' victory against the 12th-ranked Esparreguera 63-62 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Wednesday night. He scored 6 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Vinicius has averaged so far 9.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.7spg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Brazilian passport but never been selected to any of Brazilian national teams:

   #1. Oscar Da Silva (206-PF-1998, agency: BeoBasket, college: Stanford, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in Barca's victory against the 16th-ranked Manresa (1-3) crushing them 101-78 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 28 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Da Silva's first season in pro basketball. FC Barcelona Lassa (3-0) is placed first in the Liga Endesa. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Da Silva averages: 6.8ppg and 4.5rpg in four games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and German. Despite Da Silva's Brazilian passport, he previously played for the German U19 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Brazilian team.

   #2. Felipe Dos Anjos (218-C-1998, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Albacete (1-2) crushing them 93-63 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Saturday night's game. He scored 10 points and added 3 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. MoraBanc Andorra (3-0) is placed first in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Dos Anjos' total stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.3apg.

   #3. Pedro Ianguas (210-C-1998, currently plays in Argentina) contributed to a San Martin's victory against the 13th-ranked Penarol (1-2) 84-73 in the Argentinian La Liga last Monday. He scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. San Martin Corrientes (6-1) is placed first in the La Liga. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Ianguas' total stats are: 7.0ppg and 5.5rpg in two games.

   #4. Gabriel De Oliveira (206-PF-1998, currently plays in Germany) managed to help Rostock Seawolves to win against the closely-ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (2-1) 102-95 in the German BBL last Wednesday. De Oliveira scored only 3 points. Rostock Seawolves (1-1) is placed fourth in the BBL. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This season De Oliveira averages just 2.5ppg. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and German.

   #5. Rafael Rodrigues (214-PF-2001, currently plays in Lithuania) helped Nevezis win their game against the closely-ranked Rytas (3-2) 92-88 in the Lithuanian LKL in Monday night's game. Rodrigues recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Nevezis Kedainiai (2-3) is placed seventh in the LKL. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Rodrigues has averaged so far 2.3ppg and 1.5rpg.

   #6. Emanuel Terreni (202-F/C-2000, currently plays in Italy). He could not help Caserta BLE to beat Roseto. Terreni scored 6 points in only 9 minutes. His team was edged 74-71. Terreni has averaged so far 2.0ppg and 2.0rpg in three games.

   #7. Matheus Santana (204-PF-1996, currently plays in Portugal) helped Electrico FC win their game against the fifth-ranked Academica 56-50 in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) in Saturday night's game. Santana recorded 5 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 28 minutes. It was his first game for Electrico FC this season.

   #8. Experienced Thiago Makhlouf (210-C-1987, currently plays in Lebanon) helped Atlas edge the closely-ranked NSA 75-73 in the Lebanese LBL last Friday. Makhlouf scored only 3 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Makhlouf has averaged so far 3.0ppg and 11.5rpg. He has both Brazilian and Lebanese nationalities.

   #9. Caio Oliveira (211-C-1998, currently plays in Portugal) is a teammate of previously mentioned Matheus Santana and both played together in the last Portuguese Proliga game. Oliveira helped Electrico FC win their game against the fifth-ranked Academica 56-50. He recorded only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 16 minutes. It was his first game for Electrico FC this season.

   #10. Jonathan Silva (200-C-2003, currently plays in Portugal) helped Imortal win their game against the tenth-ranked CAB Madeira crushing them 85-64 in the Portuguese Liga Betclic in Saturday night's game. Silva scored only 3 points. This season Silva averages just 2.3ppg.
