Praia welcomes back Mencarini

Praia-Clube (CBB) landed 21-year old 187cm guard Raffael Mencarini for new season. It is actually his comeback to Praia as he has played here before. Mencarini played last summer at Praia in Brazilian LDB U20. In 11 games he averaged 13.0ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5spg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Mencarini also played for Praia that season where in 14 CBB games he had 14.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg.
He has played previously for five other teams: Palmeiras, Paulistano, Esperia, Cravinhos and Campo Mourao.
Among many awards he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian LDB U20 Honorable Mention in 2021.
