Paulistano Sao Paulo U20 team (LDB U20) agreed terms with 20-year old guard Leonardo Abreu (184cm-77kg-2002). Abreu played last season at Pinheiros in the NBB. NBB was a little too high level for him, where in 8 games he had just 0.3ppg and 1.1apg. LDB U20 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
He has played previously for four other teams: Vivo/Franca, Sao Jose, Sao Jose and Franca. His team was regular season runner-up in Brazilian LDB U20 League Group A in 2021 and 2022.
Despite young age he had impressive career. Abreu was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian LDB U20 Honorable Mention in 2022.
