Talented Wanderley Bonatti (201-SF-2002) put on an amazing game in the last round for Vila Velha and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 20-year old had a double-double of 24 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team beat Joinville (#23, 0-5), the league's bottom-ranked team 64-58. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Vila Velha is placed at 13th position in Brazilian LDB U20. Vila Velha is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Bonatti just recently signed at Vila Velha, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Wanderley Bonatti averages this season 16.0ppg and 8.0rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young guard Jose Vitor Policcici (184-G-2001) of Praia. Policcici impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Praia to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Brasilia (#14, 2-3) 88-62. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Praia managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Policcici is one of the most experienced players at Praia and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Gabriel Novaes (208-C-2001) of Pato (#6). Novaes scored 21 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Novaes' great performance Pato lost 63-67 to the league's current leader Caxias do Sul (#1, 5-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Pato had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Novaes' teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Novaes has a great season in Brazil. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.4rpg (7th best).
Other top performing players last week:
4. Tarek Santana (208-C/F-2001) of Coritiba - 19 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
