Brazilian LDB U20 round 13 best performance: Luan Ribeiro (by Hoops Agents)

Center Luan Ribeiro (205-C-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Uniao Corinthians, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 20-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Vasco da Gama (#13, 6-5) 64-76. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Uniao Corinthians maintains the 21th position in Brazilian LDB U20. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 10 games and recorded just one victory. Ribeiro has many years of experience at Uniao Corinthians, through which he has constantly improved. Luan Ribeiro has solid league stats. The second best player in last round's games was young Caio Verissimo (198-F-2001) of Vasco da Gama. Verissimo had a very good evening with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Vasco da Gama cruised to a 76-64 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Uniao Corinthians (#21, 1-10). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Vasco da Gama keeps 13th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Verissimo is one of the most experienced players at Vasco da Gama and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Daniel Lima (204-F/C-2003) of Corinthians (#3). Lima showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Corinthians, leading his team to a 118-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Joinville (#23, 1-10). Corinthians is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 9-2 record is not that bad... Lima has a very solid season. In 11 games in Brazil he scored 10.6ppg. He also has 7.0rpg and FGP: 53.9%.
