Jon Aramburu (ex Algeciras) joins Dai Optica Molfetta

Dai Optica Molfetta (Serie C) agreed terms with 30-year old Spaniard power forward Jon Aramburu (207cm-97kg-1992) for new 2023-24 season. Aramburu played last season at Damex UDEA Algeciras in Spanish LEB Silver. In 21 games he had 10.7ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2spg. A very impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Silver Honorable Mention.
He has played also professionally for other Spanish teams like Alicante, Avila, Marin, Moron and Jairis. His team made it to the Spanish LEB Silver Cup Finalist in 2014 and 2017 final.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com Spanish LEB Silver All-Domestic Players Team back in 2018.
Aramburu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
On Aramburu: Jon has good size and he is very skilled athlete, who can shoot with good range. Has a good shooting touch from 5-6 metres to the basket, and good post moves too. A very coordinated forward, capable to play the 3 and the 4 position. He has long arms and is a really good blocker.
