Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

First defeat of Fortaleza (3-1) against Paulistano (2-2) 80-73 was the most important game of the last round. Paulistano made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Paulistano outrebounded Fortaleza 37-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Victor Camilo (203-1997) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. Forward Lucas Doria (203-1997, college: St.Edward's) contributed with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Paulistano's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eddy Carvalho (197-1987) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds for Fortaleza. Anderson Rodrigues came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds for Paschoalotto/Bauru in the defeat. Fortaleza will meet at home UNIFACISA (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against Pinheiros (#13) and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: winless Botafogo was beaten by Caxias do Sul on the road 74-67. Pato won against Cerrado on its own court 83-65. Vasco da Gama managed to outperform Caxias do Sul in Rio de Janeiro 68-63. Paulistano rolled over Sao Paulo at home 71-52. Bauru lost to undefeated UniFacisa on the opponent's court 58-89. Pato was beaten by Brasilia in a home game 78-80. Vasco da Gama won against Botafogo on the road 79-62.




U.Corinthians - Vasco da Gama 65-74
