Devon Scott claims Brazilian NBB Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Devon Scott (206-F/C-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 29-year old power forward had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Botafogo (#17, 6-19) with 24-point margin 102-78. Flamengo maintains the 2nd position in Brazilian NBB. They are still close to the very top. Flamengo would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 20-4 record. Scott turned to be Flamengo's top player in his first season with the team. Devon Scott averages this season 12.9ppg and 6.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young point guard Guilherme Santos (189-PG-1997) of Cerrado Basquete Brasilia. Santos impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Cerrado to another comfortable win 86-72 over slightly higher-ranked Caxias do Sul (#15, 8-16) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Cerrado keeps 16th position. 17 lost games are too many comparing to just seven victories Cerrado managed to get this year. Santos is a newcomer at Cerrado and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Flamengo's star - international guard Didi Louzada (195-G-1999). Louzada scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was another key player of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, helping his team with a 102-78 easy win against the lower-ranked Botafogo (#17, 6-19). Flamengo is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 20-4 record is not that bad... Louzada has a very solid season. In 21 games in Brazil he scored 12.0ppg.
