A.A. Sao Caetano (Paulista A2) has signed 40-year-old small forward Alex Oliveira for the upcoming season. Oliveira is returning to Sao Caetano, as he has previously played for the team. Last summer, he played for Sao Jose/Ceap in the Brazilian Local League. Oliveira also had a stint with Cruzeiro (CBB), where he averaged 9.1ppg, 3.7rpg, and 1.5apg in 11 games and helped them win the CBB League title. He also briefly played for Sao Jose (NBB), another Brazilian team.
He has spent his entire career in Brazil, playing for eight other teams: Minas, Paschoalotto/Bauru, Paulistano, Brasilia, Paysandu, Sorocabana, Caxias do Sul, and Internacional. This season may be one of his last in his extensive career, which he may end at Sao Caetano.
