Brazilian CBB round 6 best performance: Dida Pereira (by Hoops Agents)

Dida Pereira (202-C/F-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Basquete Santos/Memorial/FUBES, receiving a Hoops Agents CBB Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Sorocabana (#4, 2-4) 87-83. Santos maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Brazilian CBB. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Santos will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Pereira turned to be Santos' top player in his first season with the team. Former College of the Sequoias star has very solid stats this year. Pereira is in league's top in points (2nd best: 19.0ppg), rebounds (7th best: 7.2rpg) and averages impressive 63.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Anthony Harris (196-G-1997) of Liga Sorocabana de Basquete. Harris had a very good evening with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Sorocabana was edged by slightly higher-ranked Santos (#2, 4-2) 87-83. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Conferencia Macarrao. Sorocabana still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Harris is one of the most experienced players at Sorocabana and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.3ppg (#1). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Jose Carlos Junior (202-F-1998) of Brusque Basquete/ADB (#5). Junior scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Junior's great performance the Brusque lost 74-80 to slightly higher-ranked Blumenau (#3, 2-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Brusque can only dream about fighting for top spots in Conferencia Macarrao. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Junior has a very solid season. In 5 games in Brazil he scored 7.8ppg.
