Guard Elvis Viana (189-2002) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Felipe Dalaqua chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Osasco players scored in double figures. The former international power forward William Drudi (206-1981) produced 10 points and 6 rebounds and guard Rafael Castellon (191-1985) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Blumenau - Praia 84-72

Blumenau outrebounded Praia 41-26 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Blumenau shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Joao Mamedes (201-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and American guard Wesley Russell (193-1993, college: Ohio Christian) chipped in 5 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Russell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Argentinian point guard Gaston Bertona (176-2001) responded with 15 points and 5 assists and Rafael Stabile (196-1988) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Praia players scored in double figures.

Vitoria's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Power forward Dida Pereira (202-1992, college: Sequoias CC) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and Gustavo Ruiz (190-1995) added 15 points respectively for Santos in the defeat.

Cruzeiro looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American swingman Jalen Hodges (198, college: UMW, agency: Interperformances) fired 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Alexandre Ludwing (207-2001) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American guard Anthony Harris (196-1997, college: Chicago St.) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and point guard Beto Fagundes (188-2000) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Cruzeiro and four Sorocabana players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
