Blumenau dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Praia's 24. It was a great evening for American guard Wesley Russell (193-1993, college: Ohio Christian) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Leonardo Bispo (206-1996) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. Russell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Blumenau's coach Andre Germano used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Rafael Stabile (196-1988) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and guard Raffael Mencarini (187-2001) scored 19 points. Four Praia players scored in double figures.
