Santos - Blumenau 58-72

Strangely Santos outrebounded Blumenau 37-0 including a 28- advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Wesley Russell (193-1993, college: Ohio Christian) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Lucas Farina (186-1995) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Russell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Rodrigo Italo (193-1994) responded with 11 points and 4 assists and power forward Dida Pereira (202-1992, college: Sequoias CC) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Santos' coach Daniel Correa Leque rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Strangely Cruzeiro outrebounded Osasco 26-0 including a 16- advantage in defensive rebounds. Felipe Dalaqua notched 18 points to lead the effort and the former international center Hatila Passos (211-1985, college: NM State) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Even 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Marvin Coleman III (188-2000, college: Evansville) did not help to save the game for Cruzeiro. Forward Andrew Augusto (198-2002) added 10 points for the guests. Cruzeiro's coach Brenno Brassioli tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
