Cruzeiro outrebounded Blumenau 47-29 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American swingman Jalen Hodges (198, college: UMW, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Jose Carlos (200-1997) chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Wesley Russell (193-1993, college: Ohio Christian) responded with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Leonardo Bispo (206-1996) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Point guard Jean Oliveira (177-2001) came up with 16 points and 4 assists and Felipe Dalaqua added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Osasco in the defeat.
