Sport Club Corinthians Paulista U20 team (LDB U20) signed 17-year old guard Matheus Monteiro (177cm-70kg-2007). It is actually his comeback to Corinthians as he has played here before. Monteiro played last season at Corinthians in Brazilian NBB league. NBB was a little too high level for him, where in two games he did not score anything and had only 1 assist. LDB U20 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He also played for Corinthians (NBB). NBB was a little too high level for him, where in two games he did not score anything and had only 1 assist. Monteiro played 1 game in NBB for the same team last season , but he did not score anything.
He is a member of Brazilian U18 National Team.
Monteiro has played previously for Fluminense.
His team was regular season runner-up in Brazilian LDB U20 League Group a in 2023.
