Corinthians ink Rafael Munford

Rafael Munford

Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (NBB) signed 26-year old Brazilian-Portuguese ex-international forward Rafael Munford (195cm-102kg-1998, college: Augusta) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Munford is the second import player in the roster as USA Isaac Thornton signed here earlier.
He played last season at Ciudad de Huelva Baloncesto in Spanish Segunda FEB. In 11 games he had 9.4ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.5apg. He also played for Grupo Ureta Tizona Burgos (Primera FEB) in Spanish league where in 11 games he recorded just 2.1ppg and 1.4rpg.
He was also a member of Brazilian international program for some years. Munford played for Brazilian Senior National Team two years ago and for U22 National Team last year.
He represented Brazil at the World University Games in Chengdu (China) last year. Munford's team won Silver and his stats at that event were 3 games: 4.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.7apg.
Munford has played previously for Brazilian team Pinheiros.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Paulista League Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Paulista League Honorable Mention back in 2021.
Munford graduated from Augusta University in 2020 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: Utah State University Eastern, University of Wisconsin at Superior.
