Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (NBB) landed 28-year old Brazilian international 185cm point guard Alexey Borges for new season. Borges played most recently at HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim in German BBL league. In 8 games he averaged 10.3ppg, 1.9rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg last season. He also played for Capitanes in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 35 games he had 9.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.4apg and 1.3spg. Borges has been regularly called to Brazilian Senior National Team since 2019.
He has played previously for five other Brazil teams: Vivo/Franca, Minas, Paschoalotto/Bauru, Mogi and Campo Mourao. His team was regular season runner-up in Paulista League in 2019 and 2023. Borges was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian League Honorable Mention in 2021 and 2022.
