Fortaleza B.C. Cearense (NBB) confirmed in their roster 28-year old swingman Fernando Salsamendi (193cm-94kg-1996, college: Ave Maria) for season 2024-25. Salsamendi played there last season. In 17 NBB games he recorded 4.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.0apg.
His team made it to the TSC Tournament Semifinals in 2020 and 2021.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Delikatesas in Lithuanian NKL where in 43 games he averaged 11.7ppg, 6.1rpg, 2.3apg and 1.2spg in that year. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week.
He was a member of Brazilian U17 National Team back in 2013.
Salsamendi has played also professionally in Portugal (Electrico FC).
He graduated from Ave Maria University in 2021 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player. His team made it to the TSC Tournament Semifinals in 2020 and 2021. Salsamendi played for other colleges like: Gannon University, Seton Hill University.
