The most exciting game of round 7 in the Paulista took place in Osasco. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Sao Jose (3-4) to seventh ranked Osasco (3-4) 74-73 in the game for the sixth place. Osasco made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Arthur Pecos (188-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Guilherme Pedra (198-2001, college: Carroll, MT) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Argentinian guard Franco Vieta (194-1992) responded with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Osasco moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bauru and Sao Jose. Osasco will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sao Jose will play at home against Mogi (#9) and is hoping to win this game.

It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Paulistano. It was an exceptional evening for guard Adyel Borges (190-2002) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Reynan Dos Santos accounted for 13 points. Pinheiros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Argentinian point guard Santiago Ferreyra (188-1997) came up with 21 points for Paulistano in the defeat. Pinheiros maintains first place with 6-1 record. Paulistano at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Corinthians. Pinheiros will play against Bauru (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Paulistano's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sao Paulo Sesi/Franca.

Sao Paulo was defeated at home 56-69 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sao Paulo. Lucas Dias fired 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Ralfi Ansaloni produced 9 points and 15 rebounds for lost side. Sao Paulo's coach Jorge Guerra rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vivo/Franca have a solid series of four victories in a row. Sesi/Franca (5-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Sao Paulo. Sesi/Franca's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sao Paulo to the arena Paulistano.
In the last two games of round 7 Mogi was destroyed by Bauru on the opponent's court 77-53. Winless Sorocabana unfortunately lost to Corinthians in a home game 61-77.
