Botafogo Rio de Janeiro (NBB) agreed terms with 21-year old naturalized Italian small forward Felipe Motta (199cm-91kg-2003, college: Denver) for new 2024-25 season. Motta played this summer at Flamengo in the LDB U20. He managed to play in three leagues last year. In 17 LDB U20 games just recently he had 7.8ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.9apg. Motta helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. The last season he played at Flamengo. But in 18 NBB games he recorded only 1.4ppg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. Motta also played 3 games in BCL Americas, but he averaged only 0.7ppg.
He was a member of Brazilian U16 National Team back in 2019.
Motta has played previously for Brazilian team Cearense.
He attended Denver University until 2022 and it will be his third season as a professional player.
